Our client, a multi-disciplinary Engineering & Environmental consultancy, are looking for a talented individual to join them at their city centre offices in Birmingham

They are seeking an individual with a minimum of 8 years consultancy experience in noise and vibration assessment for both industrial and infrastructure projects. You will have a relevant degree and are likely to be a Member of the Institute of Acoustics. You should have experience of managing technical contributions to Environmental Impact Assessments and Pollution Prevention and Control permit applications, and should also be able to demonstrate experience of managing projects and direct liasion with clients.
With drive, enthusiasm and excellent communication skills, you will be responsible for building and operating a core team of Acoustic professionals and for liasing with other noise and vibration specialists within the business. You should be committed to technical excellence in order to ensure that the quality of output from the team meets the demanding standards expected.
You will be expected to form long term relationships with key clients by understanding their requirements, preparing proposals, managing client expectations and, consequently, driving growth for the Acoustics discipline. Based within the Environmental business unit, internal relationships within the wider company network will also also be important and you will be expected to effectively promote Acoustic services within their Engineering disciplines such as highways, light rail, airports, and energy.
This key role needs you to provide excellent technical capability and for you to personally deliver high quality technical solutions for clients. In addition to practical monitoring and modelling work, you will also be expected to manage junior staff and will be responsible for the overall technical delivery of the Acoustics team in Birmingham.
