These assessments often take place in the framework of legislation (Regulatory Affairs), such as REACH. You have knowledge on the environmental risks of substances for the relevant organisms (water, soil) and the various topics (toxicity, bioaccumulation, degradability and behaviour in the environment) and you are able to fill any voids in knowledge (read across or additional research). In this function it is important that you are able to translate the results of your work into implications for the businesses of our clients.
Your qualifications and experience
· You have a University or similar level education in environmental and natural sciences, chemistry, biology and/or (eco)toxicology, possibly followed by a scientific doctorate in (eco)toxicology
. You are preferably Eurotox registered
· You have practical experience in testing substances in accordance with international guidelines (OECD, EU)
· You are experienced in Chemicals Management and have preferably developed a network within the industrial sector, expert institutes and the authorities
· You are aware of models for the spread of and exposure to substances, toxicological risk assessments, QSARS and data management
· You are used to working independently
· You are able to work efficiently in multidisciplinary teams
· You have good communicative abilities and are market and client focussed
· You are able to write advisory reports, also in English.
