Our client is looking to recruit a qualified Waste Process Design Engineer to provide an additional resource to the delivery of specific waste treatment and waste to energy projects.

The role will involve advising clients on their engineering designs of projects and schemes. You will also review technical documentation and detailed designs. Providing project management support especially during the construction and commissioning phases of projects will also be a key aspect of the role.

Candidates will be educated to degree level in chemical process engineering and have a thorough knowledge of process design. You will be able to produce and assess P&ID information and ideally have experience from a consultancy, utility or waste environment.

Our client is seeking to appoint a Senior Consultant or Engineer with experience in the construction and engineering of waste management facilities and the construction and programming of quarries and opencast mines.

Working with an existing team, the job will primarily be to assist in the preparation of Specifications and Construction Quality Assurance Method Statements for the progression of Waste Management Facilities and to support PPC Permit and Planning Applications for the development of major waste management facilities, quarries and opencast mines. The work may also include the specification and supervision of civil engineering schemes involving reinforced concrete facilities, blacktop road construction and drainage schemes.

Good written and personal communication skills and the ability to accurately specify work are essential together with a thorough and up to date understanding of the relevant specification and regulatory regimes. The ability to use AutoCAD, LSS or an equivalent terrain modelling package and Microdrainage would be an advantage. The successful candidate would be expected to rapidly progress into project management and to liaise directly with our clients.

Applicants should have 3-6 years experience of the construction of waste management sites or quarry design and the preparation of contributions to planning applications, a relevant first degree and preferably a higher degree. Membership of a relevant body (ICE, IMMM, IQ, Geol Soc, ICE) with progress towards chartered status would be an advantage.

In return our client will offer the successful applicant a salary in the range £30- £38k dependent on qualifications and experience.

Our client offers an extensive range of construction management services in the field of landfill engineering. They are seeking to appoint a Senior Engineer to be based at their offices in Nottingham.

The role will involve the following:

• CQA Plan preparation and submission to the Environment Agency
• Over seeing landfill construction
• Ensuring all conformance testing is undertaken in accordance with the CQA plan
• Liaison with the Client, Contractor and Environment Agency
• CQA Report Writing
• CQA Plan Preparation
• Project Management

Candidates must have proven experience within the following areas:

• Landfill engineering
• Site supervision
• Submitting tenders and specification documents. 
• Constructing CQA plans and reports
• An understanding of CDM regulations
• Dealing with clients and the Environment Agency

A relevant degree (Earth Science / Civil Engineering, etc. is required.
